Partners with City of Bastrop, Morehouse Parish Sheriff's Department, Morehouse Parish Police Jury, The Rose Theatre and Chemin-A-Haut State Park
KMB was awarded a Cigarette Litter Prevent Program grant. This project is to raise awareness and let people know that cigarette butts are litter too. Receptacles will be placed at Carter Park, Dotson Park & East Madison Park.
KMB will distribute 200 portable and 400 pocket ash trays to adult smokers. This will provide for proper disposal of cigarette butts.
All of Bastrop's parks are tobacco free, thanks to the lobbying done by KMB members.

Meetings are held once a month (Sept. thru May) on the 3rd Tuesday at 8:00 A.M. at Visitor Center.

KMB participated with the City of Bastrop on March 21 & 22, 2015 to bring the annual FREE Dumpster Project back to the community. This is held in the Spring and Fall in an effort to assist the community with the disposal of solid waste.
Leaders Against Litter is a statewide Keep Louisiana Beautiful (KLB) event uniting leaders on common ground for a cleaner, more beautiful Louisiana.
On March 13, 2015 ommunity leaders throughout Morehouse Parish joined in publicly pledging their support for a litter-free Louisiana.
Leaders met at the Dotson Park gym to sign a pledge to "Speak Up" and spread the word that litter is not acceptable.
The event had 26 participants and netted a totlat of 26 signed pledges.
Keep Morehouse Beautiful has strived to keep the parish clean since becoming a Keep America Beautiful Affiliate in 2007. The group was recognized as the Affiliate of the Month during a Morehouse Economic Development Corp. meeting at the Bastrop Visitor Center in July, 2012.
